"Flavours By The Sea"

Seafest 2013 celebrates 35 years!

Seafest has started the "Flavours by the Sea" cookbook project. We have set a deadline to receive recipes by August 17th, 2012.

You can help us get this project underway by submitting your favorite recipes! Recipe applications are attached at the bottom of this page.

A BIG request: when sending your recipes, please state your name and your involvement (along with the year) with the festival if applicable (ex: Brad Pitt - Cook's Chowder Winner 2012).

We also want to give you the options of attaching high-resolution photos, and stories of Seafest to go along with your recipes.

We have narrowed the categories down to 8 sections:
    1. Appetizers & Beverages
    2. Salads & Dressings, Soups & Sauces, Chowders
    3. Vegetables
    4. Main Dishes
    5. Breads
    6. Desserts
    7. Canning
    8. Extra Special

Because this book celebrates the 35th year of the Seafest Festival, our goal is to obtain 35 recipes in each section.

We hope to include some of the past Cook's Chowder Cook Off winners, Fish Feast recipes, local restaurant recipes, and YOUR favourite dishes as past Seafest Committee Members, Seafest Pageant Alumni, and Seafest Festival supporters.

Cookbook forms may be dropped off to the Seafest Display located in the Yarmouth Mall, emailed to seafestpageant@eastlink.ca, faxed to (902) 742-0158, or mailed to 72 Starrs Road, Yarmouth NS B5A 2T5.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Natteal Battiste via email at seafestpageant@eastlink.ca
