Pharmasave Children's Parade &
Mayor's Picnic in the Park
Wednesday, July 17th

Children
are invited to participate in the opening ceremonies for Seafest 2013.
The Children's Parade is a walking parade starting at the Visitor Information Centre on Main Street running along
Main Street to Frost Park,
where the
official opening of Seafest 2013 will take place.
Those participating are encouraged to incorporate the 2013 Seafest Theme, "Flavours By The Sea"!

Decorating Contest
Entries are to be registered by Wednesday July 10th
Homes and Businesses are encouraged to compete by adding as much flare to their lawns, gardens, windows, roof tops,
etc,
to all things Seafest and how life is celebrated by the sea. Judging will take place on Tuesday July, 16th and Wednesday
July, 17th.
Throughout Seafest, individuals are encouraged to view and vote on the decorated homes and businesses for the people’s
choice awards.

Driftwood Art Competition
Friday, July 19th to Friday, July 26thUse your creativity to transform a piece of driftwood into a work of art!
Put together something out of a piece of driftwood plus any other items you feel would spice up your masterpiece!
The only qualification for this competition is that your creation must contain a piece of driftwood.

YMCA Scavenger Hunt

Seafood Chowder Cook-Off

The Cook’s Seafood Chowder Cook-Off is a fun marketing opportunity for your restaurant a
great way to build team-spirit amongst your staff and show community support.
The Cook’s Seafood Chowder Cook-Off will
take place on the Yarmouth waterfront.
All participating
restaurants/food establishments must prepare seafood chowder that will be shared with the public and a panel of judges.
All dairy products included in the chowder will be supplied by Cook's Dairy.
The
winner will be declared the Cook’s Chowder Cook-Off Winner for 2013.

Local businesses are invited to round up a team and compete for their charity of choice in the Scotia Garden Mackerel
Toss held this year on the Yarmouth waterfront.
Teams of two will dress up in traditional Sou'Wester attire and rubber
boots and toss some mackerel!
The team to complete the event with the most mackerel and with the best time will be crowned
the winner and receive a donation to their charity.
Prizes will also be awarded for first, second and third places!
