DESCRIPTION:It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s … a Herring? You’ll want to look up and pay attention during this slippery Seafest staple as you and your teammates dress up in traditional yellow Sou’wester gear and toss Herring to each other from commercial fishing boxes\, multiple meters apart. The goal is to be the first team to get geared up and catch as many Herring in a bucket as possible. It’s a ton of fun and a fan favorite year after year! \nPrizes will be provided to 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place! \nWe recommend wearing older clothes that can be stained or soiled. \nMust be 13 years or older to take part in this event.\nThe Children’s Herring Toss is scheduled on Kid’s Day – Sunday July 12 at Killiam Brother’s Wharf
